Client: A Fortune 100 multinational technology and services company
Project: Utilize Amazon Web Services to deploy Global Mail System Proof-of-Concept
This customer needed to prototype a new global email system based on Sun Microsystems’ Messaging Server and requiring multiple UNIX servers. They also wanted to test integration between this new system and MS Exchange to simulate mail and calendar migration for client systems. This customer was considering deploying physical servers in their own data centers at considerable cost.
HCM proposed a far more cost-effective solution using Utilizing Amazon Web Services. This approach eliminated the high cost of a physical prototype by configuring the entire mail POC environment using AWS EC2. The customer was able to fully test the solution, including mail, calendaring, Windows clients and integration with Exchange, at a huge cost savings.

Project: A top health insurance provider needed to perform several transaction tests on their public web infrastructure.
HCM leveraged EC2 instances and web testing tools to apply load (from the Internet) on the web infrastructure. Using EC2 cut the cost and the timeline of the project significantly for this customer, who had been considering more expensive options for external testing hosts.
