Job Description: 

Hub City Media, a recognized Identity and Access Management thought leader, is looking for a Project Manager to lead our software implementations for many of the world’s largest Fortune companies. This individual will work closely with our Technical Team, Sales Consultants, Key Account Executives and client Project Teams to ensure successful delivery of Identity and Access Management solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, while adhering to our project management process standards

  • Facilitate definition of project missions, goals, tasks and staff requirements

  • Manage project scope

  • Responsible for assembling project staff; for their technical or functional performance and / or termination during project(s)

  • Create project plan and maintain project schedule to prioritize the team’s work, while anticipating consequences of actions, potential problems or opportunities for change

  • Ensure project status, issues and successes are communicated to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, steering committee and all levels of management and documented appropriately via status reports, status meetings, acceptance certificates, etc.

  • Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems and resolutions to appropriate levels of management

  • Demonstrate a high level of fiscal control and accountability for project budget

  • Identify potential problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent and document appropriately. Evaluate alternatives, find solutions using systematic, multi-step approach and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Drive resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas, develop methods to monitor project or area progress and provide corrective supervision as needed

  • Understand the client and their needs; provide realistic expectations; establish specific client satisfaction standards and actively monitor client satisfaction - especially when unforeseen circumstances may need to invoke the change management process

  • Provide mentoring, coaching and direction setting to project team members

  • Provide program management for large-scale initiatives that involve two or more projects

  • Participate in and / or facilitate pre-sale and post-sale activities, such as discovery and risk mitigation workshops, RFI / RFQ / RFPs, TD / LOE reviews and prospective client meetings

Education, Training and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • PMP certification or enrollment in certification program is preferred

  • Minimum 2 or more years of increasingly responsible experience, including experience successfully managing various projects and leadership experience managing direct reports

  • Firm grasp on information technology concepts and processes

  • Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of projects

  • Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools: Initiate; Prepare: definition / scope / requirements; Execute and Control: scope, work plans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc.; Close: completion and assessment

  • Strong and tested project management skills, including sponsor and risk management

  • Experience managing a project budget and resource allocation

  • Known for effectively creating a sense of belonging and ownership among team members; delegating responsibility; promoting mutual support and interaction; motivating team members into action

  • Interact regularly with existing clients to determine their needs in order to set and meet realistic deadlines. Forecast changes and communicate current and projected issues.

  • Consistently ensure open communication within the project team. Address delicate situations and handle conflicts in such a way as to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to risk.

  • Convey goals and objectives clearly and in a compelling manner; listen effectively and clarify information as needed; interpret verbal and non-verbal messages that others communicate; produce clear status reports; communicate tactfully and candidly

  • Advocate on behalf of clients and represent clients’ needs as appropriate to senior management

  • Successfully consult and provide advice, facilitate discussion and help resolve conflict; establish trust; build and use cross-functional relationships to accomplish work objectives, solve problems and implement changes
